4/7/07 Drat! Foiled again! Basically, here's the deal. Right behind the on-air studio at WXJM is the production studio with the sweet computer with connections to record from the board in the on-air studio. The live webcast server is also in this room with some other production equipment. Naturally, WXJM management wants to secure these assets; they do it with a lock to which neither Cyrus nor I have a key. Generally, our dedicated friend and General Manager Jess makes sure the studio is unlocked for us because she knows how important the podcast is. Perhaps she was out of town or perhaps someone bumbled into closing the door; whatever the explanation, it was shut tight this week. With no time to find a computer for capturing the webcast stream, Jeremy, who was doing the show alone, was out of luck. It's really a shame. The show was a special request show and quite possibly the US radio debut of Messiah's Beard. So, forgive us. Jeremy will be sure the studio is ready next week.
